Death of Advertising

Still thinking about the event with Seth Godin and how I enjoyed.

He mentioned several times the fact that advertising, the way it is today is dead.

This is a point I always talk about with my clients and how easy it is to spend a lot of money and not get anything in return.

If you think about new small businesses, it can be really one of the main reasons they go out of business after a little while. This is really sad. The thing is, they relate advertising with the potential of growing their business. It is just the common mindset.

There is no point in trying to be in front of an audience that has no clue who you are in the first place. Your work has to be in positioning yourself first to that audience and then, and only then, you could think of using advertising.

Here we are with the man.
Have to say, I was exausted after the event, but went home and started reading his new book The Dip.

If you think things ended when he left, you need to read Phil's blog

Have you noticed he was wearing a tie with BuzzBooster's colors? Some people did ask us about that!
